If it's freeware, why donate?
Basically, because I have to eat. Before the first version of the software was publicly released 40tude Dialog has gone through almost 2 years of development. Besides the time and money invested during that time, I would like to continue development on 40tude Dialog. I will not be able to do this, if there is no return.

If you want money, why isn't this shareware?
I have no interest in spending time on hunting down pirated copies or pirated keys. I don't even want to be annoyed by the fact that this would almost definitely happen to Dialog, as it happens with almost every piece of shareware. I prefer to spend my time and energy on the further development of the application.
Further, since Dialog especially targets the non US-ASCII character set user, asking for the same amount of money with a shareware or commercial application in lots of different countries is simply not fair. The amount of a donation can vary depending on how much money a user can afford to spend.

What do I get when I donate?
Nothing. There is no special support for users who donated. There is no special version of the software for users who donated. However, when you donated you will receive a password that you can enter into your installation of 40tude Dialog. When you did, other users running Dialog can see that you donated, since your postings will have a little golden star

in the Dialog GUI.

How much should I donate?
I won't give an amount here. You can get some hints by answering these questions:

·	Try to find a piece of software that you like as much or/and use as frequent as Dialog. What's the price of this software?

·	If you wouldn't use 40tude Dialog, what would you use and how much is that?

·	How important is it for you that there is further development for 40tude Dialog?

·	How much can you afford?

What if I donate now and you later make the program shareware or a commercial application?
Please rest assured that if I change the status of this software, because too little people donated, I will not punish the users who tried to make a difference and did.

For commercial users
40tude dialog is shareware for commercial users and companies. You may test 40tude dialog for a period of 60 days, if you would like to use 40tude dialog after this period you need to register.
A single-user registration is US$ 59. Site and worldwide licenses are available, too.
